How do you know our soaps are safe for your skin?

All of our soaps have been professionally assessed so you can be confident in the quality of the product you are buying. 

We're always transparent about the ingredients we use and will highlight any that are known as a common allergen. This way you can make an informed choice on whether the product is right for your skin. 

Why are Cosmetic Product Safety Assessments (CPSR) Important?

In the UK and Europe it is a legal requirement that cosmetic products are thoroughly assessed to make sure that they are safe to be used on the skin. 

Any soaper will tell you that CPSR is one of the toughest bits of soap admin that we have to do. The assessment documents are long (and a little boring) as well as being a big investment for a fledgling business. When we send our recopies to be assessed every ingredient must be listed so the chemists can do their science magic and work out what every component becomes during the chemical reaction that makes all of the oils into a soap. 

How do I know the cosmetics I buy online are safe?

If a product has a CPSR it's been deemed safe to use on the skin. If you ask any reputable supplier they're more than likely to share their assessment documents with you to prove they are compliant with the law.
